Ancient Tropics Collection

Ancient Tropics is a collaboration between the greek home accessories company Koku Concept and designer Hala Salem. This collection blends Mediterranean and Middle Eastern influences, drawing inspiration from elements deeply rooted in both cultures.

The designs evoke symbols that are both personal to Hala Salem’s heritage and closely tied to Greece, such as ancient columns and the protective evil eye. Hala Salem created all the patterns, selected the color palette, and designed the plexiglass charms that embellish the accessories, bringing a modern and artistic touch to traditional motifs.

The collection was officially presented at the Salon Premiere Class in Paris in 2018, a well-known event showcasing innovative and high-end fashion design. Through this collaboration, Ancient Tropics merges historical symbolism with contemporary design, offering a sophisticated and meaningful collection that tells a story of protection, heritage, and artistic craftsmanship.
